Saly, Senegal, May 2013

The Selection Conference (program) took place May 3^rd to May 6^th, 2013 at Saly, Senegal. The conference was organized in collaboration with Prof. Babacar Fall, from the Faculté des Sciences et Technologies de l'Éducation et de la Formation (FASTEF), Université Cheikh Anta Diop, Dakar.

Eighteen candidates presented and defended their research projects in front of an international jury composed of:

• Prof. Dr Kamari Maxine Clarke (USA),
• Prof. Dr. Eric Huysecom (Switzerland),
• Prof. Dr. Steph Newell (United Kingdom),
• Prof. Dr. Francis Nyamnjoh (South Africa),
• Prof. Dr. Edgar Schneider (Germany),
• Prof. Dr. Hirut Wolde-Mariam (Ethiopia).

The selection conference was also honored by the presence of Prof. Boubacar Barry and Prof. Abdoul Sow (Université Cheikh Anta Diop) as discussants.

In June 2013, after the conference, 11 candidates were finally selected to participate in the scholarship program.
